Recruits, oversees and mentors artistic personnel, including directors, performers, designers, stage managers and stage crew (Union/Non).
Designs, implements and evaluates programs in theater disciplines, with a particular focus on community engagement.
With Executive Committee, assists in development of production budgets and marketing strategies to present to the Board of Directors for final approval.
Acts as a spokesperson for Arts Fort Worth/Arts Council of Fort Worth’s artistic purpose and functionality via program engagements, public and social appearances, and, as scheduled Manager on Duty for daily facility operations.
Fosters the development of AFW’s relations with other theatrical organizations by participating in meetings and membership of Tarrant County Live Theatre League.
Reports to the Executive Director on a regular basis to give an update on artistic activity at weekly meeting.
Responsible for the maintenance of written procedures manual and protocols for theatres, production staff and performing arts clients along with facility equipment usage.
Produces at least one production per season.
Works with the Arts Fort Worth/Arts Council of Fort Worth teams and disciplines to support and foster each client of artistic works and presents to Executive Director for approval.
Works with the Board of Directors and Executive Director to coordinate donor development and fundraising activities to ensure Arts Fort Worth/Arts Council of Fort Worth’s secure home/location/building, financial stability and promote sustainability.
Oversees programs/performances and related activities.
Keeps current with the artistic literature, trends and activities of the D/FW artistic community along with the national and international paradigms.
Oversight for assessing needs of each production with respect to requirements for production purchases and changes to the physical space.
Operate, maintain and safeguard the technical assets of the theater, including supervising the use of lighting, sound, communications equipment, and the use and maintenance of stage facilities.
